A National Design Competition for Architecture and Design College Students
Architecture and design students across India are invited to choose a sport and community centre from their own communities and design an inclusive, accessible facility — argued in a tight written abstract and drawn on four A3 panels, filed with a signed statement of originality.

Step one: Enroll your team of 4 students by 15 September 2026, 9:00 AM IST. Enrolled teams will receive Orientation details over an email by September 16, 2026, 1600 Hrs.
The brief
Identify and document the barriers to inclusion within an existing sporting facility in your city. Develop a design-led proposal that transforms the facility to enable equitable access, participation and experience for persons with disabilities. Participants may propose restructuring, retrofitting, expansion or complete redesign. Scale of Facility: City-level Sports Complex, with a built-up area of up to 25,000 sq. ft.
- Site: a city-level sports complex of the participant's choice, up to 25,000 sq. ft. built-up area
- Users: disabled and non-disabled athletes and residents together
- Abstract: 300–350 words, typed into the form
- Final entry: one PDF of 5 pages — four A3 panels (420 × 594 mm at 300 DPI) and a statement of originality
Eligibility
- Open to students enrolled in an architecture or design programme in India
- Undergraduate and postgraduate students are both welcome
- One entry per team of four students (both abstract and shortlist teams must be the same composition of students)
- Only team entries are allowed. No individual entries will be accepted. All submissions will be verified before awarding (if chosen)
- Original, unpublished work only
Submission requirements
Every entry has two components: a written abstract of 300–350 words at the enrolment stage, and one PDF of four A3 panels followed by a signed statement of originality filed as the final entry. The Submit Your Entry link becomes active on 16 September 2026, 9:00 PM IST and closes on 26 September 2026, 5:00 PM IST. Only enrolled teams of four can submit.

- Four A3 design panels: 420 × 594 mm, PDF, 300 DPI
- One signed statement of originality as the final page
- Four panels and the statement combined into a single 5-page PDF file
